Frances N. Bensinger

Frances N. Bensinger, 85 of Smithsburg, passed away, Thursday, July 23, 2015, at her home.
Born April 3, 1930 in Piedmont, SC, she was the daughter of the late, Bramlett and Hattie (Fowler) Nichols. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Clarence "Ben" Bensinger; two brothers, Milford Nichols and wife, Lola and Billy Joe Nichols and wife, Sylvia.
Mrs. Bensinger retired in 1990 as supervisor of accounting and finance for the Department of Defense at Ft. Ritchie.
She was a member of the Whitmire Pentacostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra J. Hendry and Wanda C. Boward, both of Smithsburg; two step sons, Norm Bensinger of Omaha NE and Scott Bensinger of Middlesex, NJ; three granddaughters, Trista Kruse, Shannon Mendoza and Jennifer Zebley; six great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Ron and Hannah Bensinger of Reading, PA.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
Memorial donations may be made in Frances's name to the Whitmire Pentacostal Holiness Church, 1325 Broome St., Whitmire, SC 29178.
