Franklin Dennis Near, Sr.

Franklin Dennis Near, Sr., 89, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Doey's House.
Born on April 24, 1933 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Clara Elizabeth (Painter) and Harold S. Near, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Doris Marie (Breeden) Near; a Son, Franklin D. Near, Jr.; and two Sisters, Dorothy Bennette and Grace Ockelsberger.
Frank worked as a contract painter and owned F.D. Near Painting & Drywall for over 40 years.
He is survived by his Daughter; Susanna Carbaugh and husband Wilbur of Hagerstown; Brother, Andrew "Jack" Near of Hagerstown; Grandchildren Terri sue McKinley, Kare beth Olson, Franklin D. Near, III, Mark Near, Kendra Mumma (Justin) and Troy Carbaugh (Brittney Martin); Numerous Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
