George â??Rickyâ? Frederick Pietsch Jr., 20, of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center after a courageous battle with Hunterâ??s Syndrome, which he had all his life.
Born Sept. 15, 1992, in Salisbury, Md., he was the son of George Frederick Pietsch Sr. and Mary Katharina (Seidl) Pietsch.
Ricky liked playing World of Warcraft; playing with his nephew, Brendan; listening to music; and making people laugh. Ricky had the gift of positively affecting the lives of anyone he met.
In addition to his parents, Ricky is survived by a sister, Kati Pietsch; his grandparents, Rae Smith, Anthony Seidl Jr. and Betty Ann Martin; three uncles, Frank Gerlando, Domenick Gerlando, and Anthony Seidl III and his wife, Dottie; cousins, Donna Rae and Lizzie Seidl and Matthew Gerlando; and his nephew, Brendan Pietsch.
Ricky was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Marie Seidl; and his grandfather, Robert L. Graybill.
A funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, 201 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Kevin S. Munroe officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the service at the church.
