Gerald Franklin Spickler, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Sterling Care South Mountain, Boonsboro, Md.
Born January 16, 1938 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, David Woodrow and Sarah Clarrissa (Resh) Spickler. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Spickler.
Mr. Spickler retired from Johnson Controls where he was a HVAC technician. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters U.A. Local 486.
He was a bass guitarist for the gospel group "Gospel Sonshiners.
Mr. Spickler is survived by two children, Gerald Spickler, Jr. of Funkstown and Julie Myers and husband, Randy of Latrobe, Pa.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, David W. Spickler, Jr. of Williamsport, Md.; three sisters, Lynette Brewer of Westminster, Md., Chris Dick of Smithsburg, Md. and Mary Lou Weller of Spring Mills, W.Va.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
