Gerry Teodoro Navarette, 45, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Holy
Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Maria Amalia (Lea) Navarette; three beautiful
children, Kiara Navarette, Matthew Navarette, and Kelsey Navarette; Father, Lortunato; Mother,
Rosalina; Brothers; Garry and Gilbert; along with his many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
There are countless words that could be used to describe Gerry, with a few being selfless,
kind-hearted, incredibly nice, funny, loving, organized, and everyone’s best friend. He had the
biggest heart and was the biggest family man; he always put his wife and kids above everything
else and showed them neverending support. He enjoyed long car and plane rides with his
family, listening to music, supporting his children with their sports, singing karaoke with his kids,
traveling, going on cruises, and going out to try new food and culture. But above all, he was a
devoted father and dedicated husband.
Gerry started his biopharmaceutical career working at GlaxoSmithKline in 2006, where he
worked there for 14 years; working his way up from a Manufacturing Associate all the way to a
Senior Supervisor. Since then, he has worked at Catalent Pharma Solutions (Gene and Cell
Therapy) as a Senior Manager in Manufacturing for the past two years. Gerry was very loyal,
hardworking, and dedicated to his job in the Downstream team; others admired him in the
workplace as a strong leader who was always easy to work with and always willing to help
others. Not only did he do his best to make sure his team succeeded, but he ensured that he did
it with a smile on his face. Gerry also worked part-time for Forex Cargo Inc. International
Forwarding Shipping Company (shipping Balikbayan Boxes to the Philippines) from 1994 until
his passing, where he was a tri-state branch manager.
Gerry is and always will be our Superman.
Gerry will be sorely missed by all his friends, colleagues, and loved ones. We are forever
grateful for all the neverending love, care, guidance, and support he’s given us throughout our lives.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2022 and Friday, May 27, 2022 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
