Glenn William Spaid

Glenn William Spaid, 72, of Hagerstown, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his home.

Born November 7, 1943 in Winchester, Virginia he was the son of the late, Clyde W. and Helen P. (Himelright) Spaid. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Spaid.

Mr. Spaid retired as an electrician from Eastalco Aluminum Company.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Dixon-Troxel Post 211 American Legion, Funkstown. His hobbies included coin collecting and history.

Mr. Spaid is survived by one daughter, Natasha K. Hurwitz (David) of Rockville; three grandchildren, Sophia K., Elena J. and Yael S. Hurwitz; one brother, Gary W. Spaid (Susan) of Martinsburg and his former wife, Robin L. (Kosta) Spaid.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
