Grace Helen Phelan Mahoney, 92, of Williamsport, Maryland, formerly of Collingdale, Pennsylvania, passed away, Friday, September 21, 2018 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro, Md.
Born February 26, 1926 in Philadelphia. Pa. she was the daughter of the late, Herbert and Marion (Pye) Martin. In addition to her paremnts she also was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Phelan.
Mrs. Mahoney retired as a retail sales associate for Strawbridge and Clothier, Ardmore, Pa.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hagerstown where she was a member of the craft group and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Mrs. Mahoney is survived by four children, Frances Graves and husband, Ronald of Hagerstown, Carol Prosseda of Lancaster, Pa., Nancy Krapf of West Chester, Pa. and Joe Phelan of Fayetteville, NY; two sisters, Marion Miller of Sabinsville, Pa. and Roberta Cushing of Toms River, NJ; nine grandchildren, Kelly Anne Zerphy and husband, Peter, Jennifer Lynn Queen, Rachel O'Shea, Jason Phelan, Laura Prosseda, Devin Marie Creavan, Catherine Mary Phelan, Emily Polukhin and Robert Harris; two step grandchildren, Christine Graves and Robin Meek; seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania ave., Hagerstown. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. John Jicha officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Grace's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
