Greig L. Golden

Greig L. Golden, 68, of Clear Spring, MD, passed away on May 10, 2023, at his home. He was the companion of more than 30 years to Donna Hose.

Born on August 18, 1954, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, he was the son of Charlotte Wills Golden Mellott and the late Emory L. Golden and. Over the years, Greig worked with several construction companies, Reed Construction, David Merchant Construction Company, Clear Spring Exxon, retiring from Letter Kenny in 2016 after nearly 10 years. In his personal time, he enjoyed working in his shop on his chainsaws and lawn mowers.  He also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and camping. 

In addition to his companion Donna, he is survived by his children, Mellissa Golden and James “Robby” Golden; Donna’s children, Rodney Smith (Ayako), Donald Hose Jr. (Robin), Connie Bonebrake (John), and Faye Lynn Reburn (Mike); siblings, Shelby Schuchart, Carol Seavolt (Larry), Lawrence “Larry” Golden (Debbie Gladhill), Terry Golden (Pam), Willa Jean Robison (John), Shelia Reid (Kent), Scott Golden (Tom), Dawn Carbaugh; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother Edward, and Donna’s son, Robert Hose.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. His funeral service will begin at 11am and interment will be held in the cemetery following.
