Hal Steven Schindler

Hal Steven Schindler, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully in his home on November 22, 2022.

Steve was born March 16^th, 1952, in Hagerstown, MD and was the fourth child of Joseph & Annabelle Schindler, both deceased. His siblings include Joel Schindler of Hagerstown, MD; Jack & Pat Doyle of Delaware; and Susie Schindler of Virginia who are all mourning the loss of their youngest brother. 

He was survived by his daughter and son in law, Katie & Jacob Schwartz and their four children; His fiancé, Karen Norris-Holston, her daughters Kara & Becca, and their children; many nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Steve was a self-employed painter, enjoyed eating crabs and drinking a good soda. He loved watching Washington Football and spending time with his loved ones. He always had a mint in his mouth and you could catch him three times a week at karaoke with all his friends. He was always the center of attention and cracking jokes, but he was also the most giving person in the world. He will be missed by many.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home at 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742 on Friday Dec 9^th, 2022. The family will receive visitors from 1-2pm and then services will begin at 2pm.
