Harry W. McGargle

Harry William McGargle, 97, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Ravenwood Nursing Care Center, Hagerstown.
Born December 1, 1917 in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Bruner M. and Sidney (Robertson) McGargle. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a son, Donald L. McGargle.
Mr. McGargle retired as a carpenter.
He was a US Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the Morris Frock American Legion, Post 42, Hagerstown
He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Elver Virginia (Ennis) McGargle; two children, Dorothy L. Weaver of Hagerstown and William A. McGargle of Finksburg, Md.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one prior to services.
