Helen Holtzmann Plummer, 86, of Hagerstown, passed away at Williamsport Nursing Home on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
Born on July 15, 1934 in New Brighton, PA, Helen was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Lucile Agatha (McDonald) Holtzmann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Jim" Plummer on February 3, 2017; and her sister, Cynthia Miller on October 10, 2016.
Helen was a longtime member of First Christian Church and was a founding member of the Christian Heirs Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Over the Hill Gang, the Red Hat Society, the PEO Sisterhood, the Lady Elks, and played in many bridge groups. She also served on the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.
Helen is survived by her three children, Steven C. Plummer and wife Brenda of Hagerstown; Lauren D. Jones and husband Harry of Hagerstown; and James B. Plummer and wife Julie of Littlestown, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Saldivar, Stephanie Plummer and Significant Other, Mike Milillo; Erin Plummer; Stacie Knapp and husband, Bryan; Tyler Jones and wife, Emily; and Trey Jones; and her great-grandson, Grayson Knapp.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church in Hagerstown on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Reverends Victoria Wick and Gregory Ott officiating. Friends will be received at the church at 10:00 AM. Committal will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org)
