Henry Martin Portman

Henry Martin Portman, 74, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Balmaine Manor Assisted Living in Baltimore, MD. 

He was born on September 14, 1948, in Boston, MA. 

For over 35 years Henry was a fraud investigator for City Bank. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, golfing, and spending time with his beloved family.

He was a member of the Fountain Head Golf Club and volunteered at Eastern Elementary School where he read as well as taught children how to read. Henry also served as an umpire for Washington County Girls Softball team. 

Henry was known as a human calculator and was a whiz with sports facts. He will be remembered as a goof ball who was a huge family man. 

Henry is survived by his significant other, Maria Bisono; daughter, Crystal Chavez; son, Radames Taveras; and 6 grandchildren, Noah, Dymond, Brenden, Natalie, and Ka'Mya Traveras and Eyanna Chavez.
