Hertha Lisa Palmer

Hertha Lisa Palmer, 82, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.
Born July 8, 1929, in Heimsheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Frida (Hofmier) Geiger.
Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker and an inspiration to her family. She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, cooking and playing Trouble.
She is survived by two sons, Fenton L. Palmer of Atlanta and Freddie L. Palmer of Clear Spring, Md.; two daughters, Maggie Pietrolungo and husband, Rick, of Greencastle, Pa., and Paula Weaver and husband, Joe, of Williamsport, Md.; and six grandchildren, Kelly Tabler, Danielle Tabler, Ashley Davis, Kelsey Weaver, Karrah Weaver and Jill Palmer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Palmer, on July 31, 2008; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Kitty Lippy officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m
