Howard Raymond Hoover

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a devoted brother and friend, Howard Raymond Hoover, 76 on August 17, 2023, of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born on July 29, 1947, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Howard was preceded in death by is grandparents, mother, Rosannah Virginia (Beard) Hoover and his father, Joseph H. Hoover.

Graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1967. Howard served in the Navy, serving four years in the reserves and 2 active duty stationed at Norfolk. He was employed by DoubleDay Co. for 18 years. He was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed the hobby of cars and Nascar races. His last surviving family member is sister, Brenda Hoover.

A graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 1:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery; 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. The services will be officiated by Pastor David Eisenhuth of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Arrangement have been entrusted to Rest Haven Funeral Home.
