Howard Thomas Uhler, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, January 23, 2017 at his home.
Born July 12, 1936 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, George Uhler and Elizabeth (Harbaugh) Uhler Gray. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by one brother, George W. Uhler.
Mr. Uhler retired with 40 plus years of service as a welder for the Pennsylvania and Con Rail Railroad
For over 50 years he was an avid antique collector of old local milk and pharmacy bottles.
He is survived by two children, Thomas A. Uhler and wife Theresa and Virginia Uhler Smith and husband, Raymond, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, Betty Spence of Maugansville and Deloris "Tick" Fitzgerald of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Raven and Amanda Bakewell, Fallon Yeager and Haila Uhler and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
