Irvin Leroy Kershner

Irvin Leroy Kershner, 73, of Hagerstown, MD., passed away at home surrounded by family on March 4, 2023. Born July 3, 1949, in Hagerstown, MD, he was raised by his grandmother Maxine Kershner and his mother Betty Jane Crawford.
Irvin was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He was employed at Alfvin Aircraft over 20 years in the paint shop and Grove Manitowoc. He was a member of the North American Rod and Gun Club and part of the Falling Waters River Lot family.  He attended services at Hilltop Christian Fellowship in Clear Spring, MD.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loving father and friend. He enjoyed his time relaxing by the river and riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle.
Irvin is survived by his sons: James Kershner and wife Melissa; Robert Kershner and wife Julie. Grandchildren: Mitchel Kershner and wife Samantha; Alexis Kershner; Gracelyn Kershner; Kyle Adkins; and Tyler Adkins. Great-Grandchild: Nathan “Leroy” Kershner and Irvin’s life Partner of 5 years- Barbara Zulauf. He is also survived by his brothers: Larry Crawford, Ralphie Crawford, David Crawford, Donnie Crawford, Earl Crawford, and Irvin Crawford; sisters, Bonnie Cunningham, Aletta Scott; brother and sister-in-law Russell and Ellen Guessford and their daughter Melissa: nephew/son, Michael Guessford and special friends Larry Lee, Ronnie Paul and wife Helen, and the River Family
Preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Kay Kershner of 47 years. His grandmother Maxine and mother Betty. His sister Carolyn Plotner. 
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Rest Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Rest Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
