Isander Castro

Isander Castro, 49, of Hagerstown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
Born March 24,1970 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Miguel Castro and Luz Maldonado and his step father, Kevin Daniels, Sr.
Isander was a graduate of Bladensburg High School in Prince George's County, MD. He loved to cook and attended chef school following graduation.
He worked for Great Beginnings in Gaithersburg for over 17 years in the sales dept.
Isander will always be remembered for his smile and caring spirit. His daughter Dylan was the love of his life and his second love was fishing. Isander was always known to drive around with his fishing pole and tackle box in his car. He loved time with extended family and friends listening to music, cooking, and telling stories of his island, Puerto Rico.
In addition to his parents and step dad, he is also survived by his loving daughter, Dylan Elena Castro; three siblings, Jovanie Castro, Jovitza Castro and Kevin Daniels, Jr.; many other family members and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
