Jack Carson Koontz Sr 93 of Hagerstown passed on to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 3 at Meritus Medical Center.
Jack was born in Bedford, Pa on July 8, 1928. He was the son of the late Anna Mae Wilson and Howard William Koontz.
Jack was a longtime member of Evangel Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed singing on the choir and being a door greeter for many years.
Jack had a love of music and produced his own record in the 1970’s called..

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years Cora Emma (Gower) Koontz, daughter Robin Thompson and husband Roland, son Mark Koontz Sr. and wife Christine, daughter Debra Kendall and husband Jeffrey.
Jack has left behind a beautiful legacy for his 11 grandchildren and their spouses. His love will live on forever in the hearts of his 26 Great grandchildren.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later time
