Jack Gordon Vincent, Sr., 82, of Clear Spring, passed away, Wednesday, February 25 2015, at his home.
Born July 18, 1932 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late, Joseph and Madeline (Swartz) Vincent. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a son in law, Gary Graff.
Mr. Vincent was a US Army veteran, serving with the 14th Armored Division, Medical Detachment in Germany.
He retired as a machine set up operator with Mack Truck, Hagerstown.
Mr. Vincent's hobbies included, fishing, hunting, golf, bowling, bingo and an avid sports card collector.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Minnie Catherine (Welty) Vincent; four children, Belinda Vincent Graff of Hagerstown, Jacqueline Woodcock and husband Ronnie of Boonsboro, Teresa Vincent and friend Matt Shaffer of Hagerstown and Jack Vincent, Jr. and wife Maria of Clear Spring; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Smith and husband Gary and Vernie Purdham, all of Hagerstown.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Randy Reid officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
