Jacqueline B. (Sparrow) Barrett, 56, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her home.
Born June 3, 1958 in Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Martha L. (Bohannon) Sparrow.
Jacqueline graduated from high school and went on to attend Hagerstown Business College.
She worked as a activity director for the Boys and Girls Club and previously as a case worker for the Parent Child Center.
Jacqueline was a member of the Boys and Girls Club and a former member of the Hagerstown Jaycee's and Redman's Club Tribe 84 of Williamsport. She enjoyed donating to the March of Dimes. Not only was she good at organizing fundraisers, but she thoroughly enjoyed being apart of them. She also had a part time side business that she ran called 'Families in Need', that donated toys and clothing.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Mitchell Barrett; special friends, Linda S. Renner, Danny and Melissa Hong; her pet turtle, Sebastian; two brothers; and three sisters.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother and her faithful cat, Skootch.
Services will be private.
