James Edward Ruth, II, 69, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, passed away, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born March 6, 1948 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, James Edward and Grace Viola (Fleming) Ruth. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a brother in law, Roderick Woltman.
Mr. Ruth was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. He also was a member of the NRA, Pope and Young Association and the National Field Archery Association.
His hobbies were archery and hunting.
He was owner and operator of Four States Drywall Systems.
He is survived by four children, Tracey L. Ordona and husband, John of Hagerstown, James E. Ruth III and fiance, Misty Taylor of Berkeley Springs, Shannon N. "Nikki" Ruth and wife Dana of Hagerstown and Joli B. Ruth of Fairplay, Md.; eight grandchildren; five siblings, William T. Ruth and wife Sandra, Robert E. Ruth, Brenda S. Woltman, Linda L. Hull and husband Warren and Paula J. Ruth, all of Hagerstown; two nieces and their spouses, one nephew and two great nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Evangelist Walt Wharton officiating. Following the service military honors will be accorded by the Antietam Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
