Janet Eleanor Gift

Janet Eleanor Gift, 82, of Smithsburg, Md., passed away, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home.

Born March 16, 1942, in Lantz, Md., she was the daughter of the late, Dison and Elizabeth (Smith) Linton. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Russell O. Gift; one son, Russell O. Gift, Jr. and a granddaughter, Sara Hamilton.

Mrs. Gift was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Smithsburg.

Mrs. Gift is survived by her daughter, Robbin L. Hamilton and husband, Tim; five grandchildren, China Hamilton, Tim Hamilton and wife, Kelly, Kristi Gift Newton and husband, Luke, Laura Gift Christman and husband Tyler and Dana Gift; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Rick Linton; four sisters, Connie Kuhns, Bonnie Sybolt, Emma Webster and Mary Reardon.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
