Janette Fay Martin

Our precious daughter, Janette Fay Martin, 59, Matthew Court, Hagerstown, MD passed away to be with Jesus on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Doey's House, Hagerstown, MD of medical conditions. We loved her dearly and she returned that love to her family and friends. She was born on November 19, 1961 in Chambersburg, PA to Clair E. and Mary Catherine (Ebersole) Martin of Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, MD. She is survived by her parents; sister, Mary Jean (Jeannie) Gum (Steve), Harrisonburg, VA; brother James C. (Jamie) Martine (Liane), San Antonio, TX; sister, Joy Yvonne Pelton, Greenbrier, TN; 2 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 great nephews, and 1 great niece. Janette graduated from Kemphorn Vocational School, Smithsburg, MD. She worked at Goodwill Industries for 13 years, and participated in the Special Olympics and Bowling. She attended Washington County Human Development Council Day Program. For 13 years she lived in one of WCHDC homes with 2 housemates with excellent care. She was a member of Cedar Grove Mennonite Church. After accepting Jesus as her Saviour, she was baptized. She loved music, singing along, and being happy. Her WCHDC family was special to her. There will be a viewing Saturday, April 24 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD. Services will be Sunday, April 25 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Mennonite Church, 13343 WIlliamsport Pike, Greencastle, PA, with viewing one hour prior. Memorial donations can be sent in her memory to the church and WCHDC, 433 Brewer Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Rest Haven Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
