Janie Sue Neff

Janie Sue Neff, 75, of Hagerstown, MD., passed away, Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Doey's House, Hagerstown.

Born December 21, 1947 in Cumberland, MD she was the daughter of the late, Oscar Raymond and Georgia Barbara (Lewis) Neff. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her step father, Ernest "Yogi" Wolfensberger; an infant brother, James R. Neff and her brother-in-law, Donnie Boward.

Janie was a 1965 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. 

She was employed as a secretary for Grove Manufacturing and later had worked for Direct Mail Processors.

Her hobbies included sewing and knitting.

Janie is survived by two children, David S. Eichelberger (Debra) of Clear Spring, MD and Michelle A. Beard (Randall) of Wake Forest, NC; two grandchildren, Darrin S. Eichelberger (Cara) and Derek S. Eichelberger; one sister, Barbara Boward and a niece Cherie Harbaugh and her family.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Duane Musgrove officiating. 

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Janie's name to Hospice of Washington County (Doey's House) or to The Sarcoma Foundation.
