Jason Stephen Crist, 53, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at his home.Born in Hagerstown, December 15, 1968, he was the son of Stephen L. Crist and the late, Patricia Lynn (Kuhn) Crist. In addition to his mother, he also was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Henrietta Kuhn; his paternal grandparents, Arley and Martha Crist and an uncle, Charles Johnston, Jr.Jason was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a member of New Life Believers Church, Williamsport, MD.  He was self-employed as an auto technician and the owner and operator of Jason's Auto Service, Hagerstown, MD.  In addition to his father, he also is survived by his step mothers, Joni Crist and Debbie Elwood; his loving wife, Starla M. (Byers) Crist; two children, Sean S. Crist and Elisabeth A. Crist; two step daughters, Kelsie Byers and Katlyn Davis; four grandchildren who lovingly called him Poppy, Weston Shatzer, Orion, Reign and Aurora Spencer; two sisters, Lynley Higgins (Robert) and Sarah Fleming (Drew); Sister in law, Tammy Anderson (Peter); Aunt, Pamela Johnston; Cousin, Tina McVicker and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Dave Gettel officiating.Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday at the funeral home one hour prior to services and reception to follow services at New Life Believers Church 10745 Van Lear Drive, Williamsport, MD.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, one of his favorite charities to which he routinely made contributions. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”   I Thessalonians 4:16-17
