Jean Kathryn (Staley) Hill, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Doey's House.
Born May 28, 1928 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Hillard and Kathryn Mildred (McAllister) Staley.
Jean retired in 1982 after 22 years of service at Ross Garment in Hagerstown.
She was a member of First Christian Church. Jean enjoyed taking trips to Charlestown and Las Vegas when she could. She also liked working out at Gold's Gym. Jean's favorite thing was spending time with her late husband.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Leon Hill, who died February 22, 2007; and seven siblings, Hilda Trovinger, George Staley, Betty Keller, Gloria Clevenger, Joan Forcino, Lewis "Johnny" Staley, and Richard Staley. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Jean and her siblings were very close, many times they would go on vacation together.
Jean is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her close friend, Ruth.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Jake Caldwell officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to and again following the service at the funeral home for a meal.
Inurnment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
