Jean Louise (Marquart) Semler, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Hospice of the Panhandle facility in Kearneysville.
Born January 6, 1935 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Carroll V. Marquart and Louise B. Rohrer.
She was a 1952 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Jean worked at Martins Food until her retirement in 1996 after 23 years of service. She was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church, Martinsburg.
She is survived by three sons, David and fiance Mary; James and wife Linda; Steven and wife Hilde; two daughters, Pamela and husband Steve, Marcella and friend Rob; brother Robert Marquart; sister Linda Weddle; Nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by husband, George Semler; brothers Vernon Marquart and Maynard Marquart, two grandchildren Darrick Knipe and Joshlyn Benner.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Corey Bane officiating.
A visitation will be held one hour prior at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings are required, social distancing expected.
