Jeanette Shupp

Jeanette Lillard Shupp, 98, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Homewood of Williamsport. She was the daughter of  the late William H. Lillard and Olive V. (Campbell). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Eugene P. (Buzz) Shupp, two sisters, C. Marie Brinton and Betty J. Martin of Hagerstown: and two brothers, William Hunter Lillard of Hagerstown and Robert L. Lillard of Thurmont.

Jeanette graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1942. She retired from Harper Row Publisher’s where she worked for over 40 years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Hagerstown, where she taught a Children’s Sunday school class for over 60 years. She also was a member of the senior adult choir, the Ladies of Elks, and American Legion post 42 Auxiliary.

Jeanette is survived by several nieces and nephews, and their families.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, with Chaplain Jeff Shull Officiating.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
