Jenise Weeks

Jenise Nicole Weeks 44, of Hagerstown Maryland, suddenly gained her heavenly wings on December 27, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1979, to the late John Alonzo Weeks and Andrea Weeks. Jenise was a 1997 graduate of South Hagerstown High. After graduation she began her career in the U.S. Air Force in which a shift in her health led to an early honorable discharge. She went on to become a mother and home maker having two wonderful children, daughter Janelle Smith and son, Mark Smith. She later began a career in counseling, aiding children at the Brooklane Center in Hagerstown MD, and went on to pursue cosmetology at the Award Beauty School in Hagerstown MD. 

Jenise was a warrior in facing adversities in life and a prayer warrior always giving praise to the Creator, she had been a two-time cancer survivor and diabetes advocate. Her greatest joy was being a mother and the special time spent with raising her two children. She was the dearest friend to many, and her love and loyalty poured into all those she held closely. She will be highly remembered for her amazing personality, remarkable smile and laughter, always being very vocal, humorous and down to earth. Having such a compassionate heart she would often do selfless acts of helping, volunteering, and even opening her home to others. She prides herself in also having a strong vocabulary, and an avid reader especially of Crime, Mystery, Urban novels and had inspired to write her own books someday. She was certainly a music buff loving all genres of music and stayed current and trending on music, fashion, and culture. She will be deeply missed by her loving mother, daughter, and son. Jenise was an extraordinary friend and held many titles to the people she touched.

In addition to her Loving Children and Mother, She leaves to cherish her memories, Brothers, Alonzo and Andre Weeks, Mark Smith Father of Her Children, nephews Andre Jr. and Ayan Weeks, Aunts and Uncles: Caroline Weeks, Louise Savage (Ronald), Lorraine Davis, Diane Russ (Steve), Arlene Traore, Tina Weeks, Anges "Gibson" Ross (Rico) Genevieve "Gibson" Mc Intyre (Columbus), Teresa "Gibson" Jones (Jerry Jones), Dennis Green caring Godfather to her children and many more Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Family, and Friends too numerous to name.
