JoAnn Elizabeth Brown

JoAnn Elizabeth (Wilhide) Brown, 82, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Coffman Nursing Home.
Born November 19, 1934, in Hagerstown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Eugene and Leola (Miller) Wilhide.
She was a 1952 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
JoAnn was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
She worked as a homemaker.
She is survived by four children, P. Gregory Brown and wife Tammy, Rodney K. Brown, Tonya J. Coles, and Randal S. Brown; a sister, Linda L. Romberger; nine grandchildren, Tara J. Bockstanz, Shana N. Weller, Chad H. Coles, Travis G. Brown, Ashley L. Brown, P. Tanner Brown, Cody S. Brown, Autumn M. Brown, Dylan S. Brown; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Philip Baker Brown; three brothers, Charles E. Wilhide, Donald R. Wilhide, Arthur E. Wilhide, Jr., a son-in-law, Nelson R. Coles; and a great-grandson, Wyatt D. Brown.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
