Joann Sonia Miller

Joann Sonia Miller, 87 of Martinsburg, WV., passed away, Wednesday July 12, 2023, at Berkley Medical Center, Martinsburg WV. 

Born July 4, 1936, in Hagerstown, Md., she was daughter to the late John R. Weiss and Jeannette E. Shoemaker. In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her brother David (Ronnie) Hartman. 

She is survived by daughters Debbie A. Hafer Hanover Pa., Betty Lou Wolff, Hagerstown, Md and Trena Housden, Martinsburg WV. she loved as a daughter and a son Jack Paul Watson, Estes Park, Colorado. Joann is also survived by her sister Wanda Fox, Lancaster Pa., Donna Earls, Erlanger Kentucky, and Belinda Castle, Harman Md. Joann also has two brothers Anthony Mozingo, Hagerstown Md. and Victor Slayman, Hagerstown Md. She has three grandchildren Tina M. Hafer, Selena L. Snively and Sandra Hendricks. Great-Grandchildren Aden Snively, Olivia Snively and Michael Hendricks and many nieces and nephews. Long time friends Bud Bryson and Bob Woods. 

Joann had a deep love for her four-legged babies, they brought her so much joy and each one had a special place in her heart. Another one of her loves was cooking and collecting hundreds of cookbooks. Her love for music was passed down to her son Jack and granddaughter Tina.  

 Family and friends are invited to the celebration of life at the Salvation Army 525 George St., Hagerstown Md. on August 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. CSM Larry Miller will officiate the celebration of life service. 

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to an animal shelter and or the Salvation Army in Hagerstown Md., 21740, P.O. Box 747.
