John Douglas Cryser, Jr.

John Douglas Cryser, Jr., of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at his home. Born on March 19, 1962, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Louella (Weimer) Boyce and the late John D. Cryser, Sr.

In his working life, John was a heavy equipment operator, plumber, and tractor trailer driver. He proudly served his country in the Army from 9/17/1980 to 5/7/1982. By faith, John was a Christian. He loved Harley Davidsons, going fishing, playing golf, and skiing.

In addition to his mother, Louella, John is survived by his wife, Ruby Angelene (Ayres) Cryser, and sisters, Bonita Lynn Bowers, Kimberly Sue Sines, Diane Marie Wells, and Tonya Rachell Helbig.

A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of John’s family and friends at his favorite fishing spot.
