John Thomas Green, III

Family and Friends mourn the sudden passing of John Thomas Green III, or as all who knew him, “JT.” He was killed in a single-vehicle car accident on Downsville Pike in the early afternoon on August 2, at the age of 51.

JT called many places home over his life but always considered Hagerstown his true home. He was a 1990 Graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Salisbury University with a Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

He will be remembered for many things including his kindness towards animals, the outdoors and fishing. JT spent his last Sunday fishing with one of his many nieces.

JT was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Jean Higginbotham, who passed almost two years ago from Cancer. He is survived by his Parents, John and Sandra Green; a sister and brother-in-law, Katy and Lennie Cannizzaro; brothers and sisters-in-law Corey and Jessica Green, Michael and Kristen Green; his wife’s daughter and her family, Lindsay, husband Jim Downs, their children Atom and Cora; and seven nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, at St Ann’s Catholic Church at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd. Hagerstown, MD 21740 or the American Cancer Society.
