Joseph Calvin Ensminger

Joseph C. Ensminger, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, October 31, 2022, at the Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Shippensburg, Pa.

Born December 27, 1934, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late, Gleason Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Dailey) Ensminger. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Ann (Moore) Ensminger in October of 2018, and a brother, James Ensminger.

Mr. Ensminger was a US Army veteran and a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, Hagerstown.

He retired after 40 years of service from Hoffman Chevrolet where he worked as an automobile mechanic.

His hobbies were riding motorcycles and fixing and driving cars, and he was a member of the Maryland Retreads Motorcycle Organization.  Joe and Barb enjoyed many happy and joyous adventures with the group.

Mr. Ensminger is survived by his son, Jeff Ensminger and wife Patsy; two granddaughters; a great grandson and his sister-in-law, Lynn Ensminger

A Graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.  Friends will be received at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Friday one half hour prior to the graveside service.
