Joyce Ann Poole Huyett

Joyce Ann Poole Huyett, 83, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away, Friday, April 12, 2019, of a cerebral brain hemorrhage at Doey's House, Hagerstown.
Born in Hagerstown at the Washington County Hospital on June 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late, Leon Suman Poole and Isabel McNamee Poole Shervin. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Earl "Deedle" Downin Huyett, Jr. whom she married on Sunday, November 18, 1956 and one sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Huyett Evenson.
Joyce was of Episcopalian faith and graduated from old Hagerstown High School with the class of 1953.
Joyce is survived by one daughter, three sons, three daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister and one sister-in-law as follows: Ann Lynn Huyett of Germantown, Md.; Patrick Brian Huyett, his wife, Anna Reluzco Huyett and their four children, Lauren Raquel, her husband, Nicholas Scott and their children, Henry and Elliot Kantor of Norwalk, Ct., Meagan Maria, her twin, Ryan Linwood and Quentin Brian of Ellicott City, Md.; John Michael Huyett, his wife, Sheila Henderson Huyett and their two boys, John Earl and Luke Michael of Leesburg, Va.; Andrew Downin Huyett, his wife, Gale Lynn Huyett and their three children, Nicole Elizabeth, Matthew Lewis and Natalie Virginia of Kernersville NC; sister, Joan Lynn Poole DeLeon Bachtell, her husband James Bachtell of Hagerstown; sister-in-law, Jean Yvonne Huyett Metz of Monroeville, Pa. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joyce was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Doug Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
