Joyce Deemer Winters

Joyce Deemer Winters, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her home.Born August 6, 1949 in Johnstown, Pa. she was the daughter of the late, George Lincoln and Dorothy (Stiles) Deemer. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Allen Winters; a sister, Cathy Heberlig and a nephew, Michael J. Heberlig.Mrs. Winters was a graduate of South Williamsport High School, Williamsport, Pa.; She received her B.A. from HCC and her B.S. from Shepherd College and she had worked as a V.P. of the Financing Department for First Data, Hagerstown.Mrs. Winters attended Marlowe Assembly of God Church, Falling Waters, W.Va. and she was a prolific bible teacher; Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and playing the piano.She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gary Steven Winters; two children, Michelle Lynn Winters and Steven Joel Winters; two grandchildren, Corey Schnur and McKinsey Brook Winters; three great grandchildren, Maleah Rose Davis, Moriah Elaine Davis and Annika Imani Davis; brother, John David Deemer and a niece, Rebekah Sue Shirbach.Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor David Rodriguez.officiating.Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday two hours prior to the service.
