Kenneth Needy

Kenneth  Lee Needy, 78, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away Sunday, January 22nd.

Born on January 30, 1944, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward Needy and Marilyn M. Fleagle both of Hagerstown, Maryland. He was also preceded in by his brother, Lawrence R. Needy of Hagerstown and sister, Lynn M. Weltzen of Florida. He was a 1962 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and went on to serve in the Medical Battalion Marine Division and completed medical service school. He completed courses in accounting at Hagerstown Community College and was also the owner and operator of a commercial flooring business until retirement. In his retirement he enjoyed car shows to which he took his Bentley to show. He led the Annual Mummers Parade with his Bentley.

He is survived by his sons, Richard A. Needy of Hagerstown, Kevin Scott Needy of Smithsburg and daughter Stacey Beaver of Hagerstown. He fathered and mentored Logan Rees and Brandon Rees of Falling Waters. He is also survived by his companion and caregiver of many years Carolyn Roof. He will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no service at this time but a Celebration of his Life will be announced in the upcoming months.
