Kevin Scott Needy

Kevin "Scott" Needy, 59, of Smithsburg, Md., passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Md.

Born December 6, 1965 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Kenneth L. and Mary Catherine Foltz-Needy.

Scott was a self employed contractor with a generous spirit and a wide range of interests. He had a deep love for hockey, NASCAR, and music-especially collecting records. A loyal lottery player, he never missed a week. Above all, he had a genuine passion for helping others

.He is survived by three children, Logan Needy and wife, Gretchen, Erin Ingle and husband, Brandon and MacKenzie Needy; three grandchildren, Royal, Jubilee and Shia Needy; one sister, Stacie M. Beaver; one brother, Richard A. Needy; nieces and nephews Amber Vance, Lindsey Beaver and David Beaver III and his buddy, Rascall the cat.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

Graveside services will follow on Wednesday, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery.
