Linda Kay Knode, 58, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011, at her home.
Born March 23, 1953, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Nicewarner and Pauline (Breeden) Sweeney.
Linda was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She worked as a material selector for Home Depot Direct and previously was a seamstress for the Londontown Corp.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael E. Knode; one son, Christian Hawbaker Jr. of Paris, Tenn.; two daughters, Christine Hawbaker of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Jessica Maloy of Martinsburg, W.Va.; her stepmother, Phyllis Nicewarner of Hedgesville; two brothers, Edward Sweeney of Falling Waters and Frank Nicewarner of Hagerstown; one sister, Connie Sweeney of Keedysville; two half sisters, Shelia Pena of Fairfax, Va., and Joyce Hartsell of Martinsburg; and seven grandchildren, Destiny Grimm, Cory Grimm, Justin Moody, Braden Kline, Hunter Whiteman, Christian Hawbaker and Jonathan Hawbaker.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Betty Jones officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
