Linda Faye Welker Wilson, wife, mother, sister, friend and member of Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church, passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born in Berks County Pennsylvania on May 10, 1945 to Edward and Birdella (Eckenroth) Welker.
She is survived by her sister Cherlyn Rader, Reading, PA, her brother, David Welker, of MD, her daughters Sherri Linette and LaDonna Lee Snyder, her grandson Ronald Lee Rhodes and her beloved cat Oreo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years Charles (Charlie) F. Wilson, her parents and her brother Edward Welker, Jr.
Linda attended Reading Junior Academy in Reading, PA and Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, PA. She then moved to Maryland and attended Columbia Union College in Tacoma Park, MD.
Linda loved God, Charlie, cooking, writing poetry, developing friendships with anyone that seemed to need one, and cats. She had a heart of service and a desire to help others know they were loved by God and her.
Linda worked for Exxon Mobile and in the chaplaincy office at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital among other places. She was thrilled to marry Charlie and gain two more daughters in the process - Charlie’s daughters Esther Jean and Sandra Michelle Wilson. She loved to mother all who would accept her love.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742 at 2:00 p.m.
Linda’s memorial service will be held on April 12th at 2pm following a fellowship meal. The service will be held at Willow Brook Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 8916 Mapleville Rd., Boonsboro, MD 21713. In lieu of flowers donations to the Willow Brook church’s Worthy Student Fund and Children’s Ministries are appreciated.
