Lois M. Sellar, 90, of Waynesboro PA. joined the heavenly chorus as a pianist on May 23, 2024.
Born in Fosterburg Illinois in 1933 she was the third of four daughters born to the Reverend and Mrs. Paul Tharp
She was preceded in death by two sisters. Esther Shelton and Mary Zink as well as the love of her life.. her husband William (Bill) Sellar.
She is survived by her sister , Rhoda Bowen as well as her daughter, Jennifer (Jeni) L. Oberholzer and her grandsons who were her pride and joy ….Bradlee J. Oberholzer
(“My”)Tyler D. Oberholzer and wife Heather and her three beautiful great granddaughters, Alexis , Kena and Hadleigh who were her heart as well as her “bonus” children , Michael , Richard and Edra and their families and many nieces and nephews.
She retired from Northwest Hospital as a pharmacy technician… a job she loved and was proud of.
She was a lover of music and shared her God-given talent of piano playing in area churches, nursing homes, the Waynesboro Christmas tree lighting as well as on an old dilapidated piano in downtown Knoxville, Tn. while visiting her grandson at Christmas. She drew a crowd and loved every minute of it.
She was adventurous , funny and multi-talented with crocheting, painting and her amazing food always prepared and served with love. She shared her love of Jesus Christ and radiated Him in everything she did. Happily sharing her faith wherever she went.
There were no strangers in her life as everyone she met became a friend.
She was loved by all who knew her and she loved unconditionally.
She trusted God completely in every area of her life and happily faced death knowing that the reunion with her husband and family would be a sweet one.
She will be missed but her memory will remain in the hearts of those left behind.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 31, 2024 at Salem Church, 4881 Salem Church Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
