Loretta May (Stewart) Stransky, 77, of Sharpsburg, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, at her home.
Born Sept. 6, 1934, in Fairmont, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse F. and Audrey (Tarr) Stewart.
Before being a homemaker, Loretta was employed by the CIA in Saigon prior to the Vietnam War. After that, she was the assistant to the director of the CIA library.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Robert E. Stransky; two sons, Vincent C. Stransky and wife, Kimberly, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Mark E. Stransky and wife, Olena, of Hagerstown; a brother, Jimmy C. Stewart and wife, Evelyn, of Rivesville, W.Va.; and one granddaughter, Emily M. Stransky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Stewart; and her sister, Gladys Jean Mishko.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour before services.
