Marion Wyoma Thompson, 95, of Hagerstown, passed away, Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born March 26, 1922 in Romney, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late, Beryl and Verna (Loy) Montgomery. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, James M. Thompson; a granddaughter, Jackie Thompson; one brother and two sisters.
In addition to being a homemaker she also had worked as a clerk for Peoples Drug Store, Hagerstown.
Mrs. Thompson was an active member of Paramount Brethren in Christ Church where she was a member of the Golden Heirs.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed her church family. Now, she rests in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Thompson and wife, Cheryl of Raleigh, NC and Philip Thompson and wife, Penny of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Kellie Rimmer and husband,Brian, Philip Thompson, Angie Cross and husband, Donnie and Natalie Bryson and husband, Dr. Richard Bryson; seven great grandchildren, Emma Cross, Stephen Cross, Nora Bryson, Richie Bryson, Kristen Faulkner and husband, Cody, Justin Rimmer and Chad Rimmer and one great great granddaughter, Paige Faulkner.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. James R. Stauffer officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
