Mary Elizabeth Betty Myers

July 23, 1927 — August 4, 2015

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Myers, 88, of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Reeders Memorial Home, in Boonsboro.

Born July 23, 1927, in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Frank J. and Kathryn Hauk Kroeger.
Betty attended Catholic school until 9th grade and graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1946.

Betty retired from Hagerstown Bookbinding & Printing after many years as a film processor. She previously worked as a beautician for Mary Belle Hoffman.

Betty’s talents included sewing, hair styling, and playing the accordion. She enjoyed traveling with her husband which included two cross country trips.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and was a 30+ year member of the Lady Elk’s Auxiliary Post No. 378.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Richard “Dick” Myers; two sons, Douglas Myers and wife Jeanne, Phillip Myers and wife Marcia; five grandchildren, Chad Myers and wife Elizabeth, Kelly M. Caudill and husband Johnny, Scott Myers and wife Becky, Adam Myers, Todd Myers; and eight great-grandchildren, Aiden, Landon, Kylie, Brooke, Allison, Coral, and twins, Brielle and Karis.

 A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, with Pastor Dave Kaplan officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 7-9pm on Friday at the funeral home and again one hour before the service on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702.
