Mary was an incredible woman who left us way too soon. She was a devoted mother to both her two and four-legged children, as well as a dedicated friend and employee, putting everything she had into everything she did, often working and caring for others even as she quietly struggled with her own medical issues. She could keep a secret like no other—if you needed to get something off your chest, you could tell Mary and she would understand, offer her loving advice and never speak of it again. She was an avid collector of movies and memorabilia, with a special fondness for angels, Disney, Elvis and Gone with the Wind collectibles. Though her life was not always easy, she always had a smile and a kind word, and she would give anything of herself to help the ones she loved. Although she is gone from this life, the love, kindness and compassion she shared will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
The family will receive family and friends from 11AM – 1PM on Saturday, March 27th at Rest Haven Funeral Home with services to be held at the Rest Haven Chapel at 1PM, Pastor Bob Cook officiating, and interment following at Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society of Washington County or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to family and friends and Hospice of Washington County for their benevolence.
