Mary Lynne Herald

MaryLynne Herald, 86 of Hagerstown, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on June 9, 2023.
Born on November 23, 1936, in Wilmington, NC, she was the daughter of Mary “Molly” (Arnold) Coffin and Eugene Auguste Coffin Jr. MaryLynne worked in many industries over the years such as retail, nurse’s aide, and in Banking at CNB bank. Her true talents were with a needle in hand, she was a remarkable seamstress and quilter but also had talents in crocheting and other crafts. She created and donated several quilts to Quilts of Valor. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, past treasurer for American Legion Auxiliary and the Morgan County Historical Society Inc. MaryLynne also enjoyed being a cat mom to her four feline companions.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Reilly and husband Tim, Molly Colyer, and Sheila Robey. Stepchildren; Larry Herald, Randy Herald, Phil Herald, Dorie Denman, Lynn Herald, and Paul Herald; siblings, Eugene Auguste Coffin III and Robert Peter Coffin; numerous grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Paul Herald, her son, Alvin Richard “Ricky” Windsor III; stepchildren, Bobby Herald, Donald Herald, Jimmy Herald, Alan Herald; siblings, Bonnie Jeanne Grobar, Douglas Arnold Coffin and Warren Bromley Coffin.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD, 21742.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14 and interment will follow in the cemetery.
