Mary "Molly" Margaret Whitacre

Mary Margret “Molly” (Brawner, Lowe) Whitacre gained her wings on September 20, 2024 at the home of her granddaughter and caregiver Wendy Hicks who lovingly helped her transition to the arms of her beloved savior.

Molly was preceded in death by her loving husband Samuel Whitacre. She is survived by her seven children; Kathleen Paris, Mary Randolph, Charles Lowe, III, Arthur Lowe, Rosemarie Hicks, Bonnie Roberts, and Dean Lowe. 

Molly was a memorable character who made many people smile and laugh. She had a resilient spirit that overcame adversity and allowed her to enjoy the journey. She was an example for everyone in her life that all things are possible with faith and perseverance. She will be remembered and truly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
