Mary Murray Wellman

Mary Murray Wellman, 90, died on December 19, 2020 at the Willamsport Retirement Village.
Born on October 6, 1930 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of Ralph J. and Josephine S. Murray of Smithsburg, MD. She was a 1950 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and was employed as a statistician at the Virgina Department of Health in Richmond.
She was married for 55 years to William M Wellman Sr until his passing in 2005.
She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hagerstown, MD and a longtime member of St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Greensboro, NC.
She is survived by a son William M. Wellman Jr. of Sharpsburg, a brother Samuel J. Murray, and his wife Patsy G Murray, of Hagerstown and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved feline companion Chesapeake.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Greensboro, NC.
