Mary Dolores Osik

Mary Delores Osik, 93, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Coffman's Nursing Home.

Born on November 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel Trimmer, She was very close to her step mother Virginia Trimmer who helped to raise her, after her mother's passed at a very young age from Tuberculosis. 

She was a student of Saint Mary’s School of Hagerstown in her youth and afterwards attended Mercy Hospital Nursing School graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1952. She dedicated her life to the care of others, starting her career at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. In 1972 she returned to Hagerstown and worked at Western Maryland Hospital. In her last several years at the facility she served in the adult day-care unit until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons, James Osik (Robin) and Stephen Osik (Robin) both of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Jason Osik, Amy Osik, Sarah Myers and Ian Osik and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Wolford (Hubert) her niece Michelle Legge and nephew Todd Wolford, as well as several great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be the following day on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 

Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery in Gettysburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coffman’s Nursing Home, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
