Mary Louise Whitt

Mary Louise Whitt (Norman), age 87 of Hagerstown Maryland, formerly from Richmond Virginia passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Coffman’s Nursing Home.

Born in Cedar Bluff, Virginia on June 6th, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Norman and Lena Norman (Brown). 

She graduated from Richlands High School with the class of 1955. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia.

She worked at Harleysville Insurance Company in Richmond, Virginia as a secretary where she retired after 20 years of service. She moved to Hagerstown in 2016 to be closer to her family. She made some wonderful friends, loved to people watch, work crossword puzzle books, and try new foods.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindi Minnichbach and (husband Jim), 2 grandsons, Jeff Minnichbach (wife Natalie), and Mike Minnichbach. Four great grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Sophia and Parker all of Hagerstown. She is also survived by one living sister in North Carolina, Edith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

A private gathering will be held by her family to respect her wishes.
